100 deep links into government sites across 52 countries. Government URLs move without notice — this is the list we keep working: 89 of them re-fetched every week, 11 we never fetch because the authority refuses automated clients.
What the dates mean
“Last reached” is the day our weekly checker successfully fetched the page. It is a fact about our checker, not a verdict on the site: several authorities block automated clients while serving real visitors normally, so an old date can mean their firewall, not their outage. We do not publish an automated “dead link” badge for that reason — failures are triaged by a person first.
On 36 of these pages the check compares the values we quote from them; on the rest it only confirms the page still answers.
A dash means we have no successful fetch on record. “Not fetched” is the other case, and it is the honest one to separate out: 11 of these hosts refuse every automated client we have — measured with two different clients over two networks — so we do not knock at all. Either way the link is the one we cite, and it is the one to test.
