112 is Nigeria's national emergency number: calls go to Emergency Communication Centres set up by the Nigerian Communications Commission, which connect to the police, fire service, Federal Road Safety Corps and other responders. The federal government reaffirmed it as the single toll-free number in 2026, but rollout is still uneven between states, and some states also run their own emergency lines.
