- Chilean Residence and Visa Application (SERMIG) — The National Migration Service’s procedures — transitory stay, temporary residence, definitive residence and nationality — all filed online.
How to file
- Identify the procedure: permanencia transitoria, residencia temporal, residencia definitiva, nacionalidad, the border-neighbour card, or the infraction declaration and fine calculation
- Create a user account on the SERMIG procedures portal at tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl and file there
- Track progress with "Consulta estado de trámites digitales" in the same portal
- Where an in-person step is needed, use "Reserva tu hora" to book at a regional office — appointments are free and you may hold only one at a time
