Official forms
- Thailand e-Visa — Apply for Thailand tourist visa online Checked against the official page on 2026-08-09
How to file
- Check whether you need a tourist visa at all — the site's checker asks for the country or territory that issued your passport and how many days you plan to stay
- Pick the category that matches your purpose: tourist, transit, work and business, study, or diplomatic and official
- Create an account on the Thai e-Visa site — it is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official site
- Fill in the application form
- Upload the supporting documents: the passport bio-data page, a photograph taken within the last six months, a document showing where you currently are, the travel booking confirmation, proof of accommodation in Thailand, and financial evidence of at least THB 20,000
- Some purposes need one more paper — a TCEB letter for MICE participants, or a letter of acceptance from the institute or company for training and recreational learning
- Pay the visa fee
- Wait for the application to be processed
- The e-Visa confirmation document arrives by email
- Check the website of the relevant embassy or consulate as well — required documents can differ by mission. A single-entry tourist visa is valid 3 months, a multiple-entry one 6 months
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) — Digital arrival card that replaced the paper TM6 on 1 May 2025 — required online of every non-Thai traveller before entry Checked against the official page on 2026-08-09
How to file
- Everyone who is not a Thai national must complete the TDAC before entering Thailand, by air, land or sea — it replaced the paper TM6 on 1 May 2025
- Submit it in the 3 days before your arrival date, on the Immigration Bureau site at tdac.immigration.go.th
- It is free; the Immigration Bureau charges nothing for it
- Have your passport, personal, trip and accommodation details ready, plus the health information the Ministry of Public Health requires
- Enter everything in English — you can scan the passport MRZ to fill fields automatically, but re-check whatever it pulls in
- A group submission takes up to 10 travellers at once
- Preview and correct, enter an email address, accept the terms and submit
- Download the card and keep the emailed copy for the whole of your stay
- You can update a submission any time before travel, except the name, nationality and date of birth. The TDAC is not a visa
