Official forms

How to file
- Residents abroad use the dedicated «Residentes no exterior» path, which covers registration, changes and cancellation
- Registration can also be started at an authorised bank or post office rather than online
- If you applied through a bank or post office, track it with «Consulta andamento de pedido CPF»
- Once issued, use the registry-status certificate as your proof of CPF — it is the document counterparties ask for
- Keep the registered details current through the alteration service; a CPF with stale or irregular status blocks bank and contract processes
