City Overview
Sanya, at the southern tip of Hainan Island, is China’s premier tropical beach-resort city, famed for beaches like Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay and duty-free shopping — the "Oriental Hawaii." Warm and sunny in winter, it is a snowbird-retirement and high-end tourism destination. Prices (especially peak season and sea-view homes) run high, but life is relaxed with excellent air and water quality and many international visitors.
