City Overview
Nanning is Guangxi’s capital and the "Green City," a gateway to ASEAN and the permanent host of the China-ASEAN Expo. Subtropical and intensely green, with the Yong River running through it. Cost of living and housing are low; Zhuang and other ethnic cultures, Guangxi cuisine and rice noodles (laoyou fen) stand out. Trade with Vietnam and ASEAN is active.
