City Overview
Nanchong, in northeastern Sichuan on the middle Jialing River, is the regional center of northeast Sichuan and a populous city with deep Three-Kingdoms culture (the Langzhong ancient town) and silk heritage ("China’s Silk Capital"). Agriculture coexists with light textiles, auto parts and oil-gas chemicals. Cost of living and housing are low; Langzhong is one of China’s four great ancient towns, rich in tourism and culture, with a mild climate — a northern node of the Chengdu-Chongqing circle.
