City Overview
Jilin City, in central Jilin on the Songhua River, is the province’s second city and a chemical-and-power hub (Jihua). Its winter rime ice ("tree hangings") is a world-class natural wonder, ranked among China’s four great natural spectacles. Songhua Lake and the Beidahu ski resort drive ice-and-snow tourism.
