City Overview
Fuzhou is Fujian’s capital and a historic city, the "Banyan City" named for its shady old banyan trees. It is known for the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys historic quarter, hot springs and Fujian cuisine, an overseas-Chinese hometown and a front line toward Taiwan. Warm and humid, with a relaxed pace and relatively low cost; electronics-information and the marine economy are growing.
