Trademarks, patents and designs are registered with the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (Patentstyret). Note the EU trademark does NOT cover Norway, as Norway is not an EU member.
- Norwegian trademarks, patents and designs are filed with Patentstyret.
- An EU trademark does NOT extend to Norway; a separate Norwegian registration is needed.
- International protection can be extended via WIPO's Madrid (trademarks) and PCT (patents) systems.
